With four decades of experience under his belt, Tim Exton's (he/him/his) career has taken him all over the world for a wide variety of media outlets. The British national shot an Emmy-winning documentary on war crimes in Kosovo, as well as working for the BBC and others, before moving to the United States in 2000. Prior to joining the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), he was a freelance video journalist working for news agencies such as Reuters and Agence France Presse, as well as emerging online news sites such as AJ+ and Brut America. 

Exton is currently a Communications Officer at the Institute for Health Metrics at the University of Washington, where he oversees the production of a wide range of videos and other media.
